Advertisements - Story Continues Below

Goatseeker does not review or endorse the advertisers appearing above.

Thanks to all of you who have visited http://goatseeker.com over the last week, creating new user accounts and posting new ads at http://goatseeker.com/classified.

We're off to a good start, with a many new ads and new users in only a few days. The response has been encouraging.

Some users encountered difficulty creating an account due, in large part, to ISP spam filters trapping our site's emails - since it's a new site, the spam blocking systems couldn't verify 'goatseeker.com' as a valid sender. So, if you signed up for an account but never received an email from goatseeker.com with your login instructions, please contact us with your email address and we'll help you get started. We've already made improvements to help correct some of the issues we've encountered, and will continue to do so with your continued feedback.

To those who have posted new classified ads: Thank you! We are just getting started, so we appreciate your efforts. We are working on spreading the word about goatseeker.com, and we have just been listed in the major search engines (google, msn, yahoo, etc.) and anticipate good visitor traffic from these sources. In the meantime, if you know someone who might be interested in using goatseeker to place an ad, or might be interested in looking at our online ads, please tell them about goatseeker.com.

Some of you have already put a link to http://goatseeker.com on your web sites (thanks!) - if you have a web site, and like goatseeker.com, please feel free to link to us.

You may have noticed that we've been working to improve the readability of the ads - we will continue to do so. Please feel free to make suggestions - we're listening!

We have added some new categories: breeder resources, lost/stolen goats, new goat breeds, etc. - if you don't see an existing category that fits your ad, please contact us with a suggestion.

For those who have signed up for an account, you can receive automatic email notifications of new ads or other content - just log in and visit your user account by clicking on the "my account" link on the left side of the page.

Then, select the "my notify settings" tab at the top - then enable notifications. Don't forget to save your settings by clicking the "Save Settings" button at the bottom of the page.

We are planning major enhancements - as the site grows, we will need to provide better ways for users to search for and browse through existing ads, and we are working on those already. We'll announce those changes as they become available.
